Our story started 13 years ago when we said, “I do” and quickly accelerated a year later when our first child was born. A year after that we had a second child. Within the first 5 years of marriage we had four kids. We were excited to be parents but were not expecting to begin so early in our marriage. We felt ill-prepared and did not understand the grace the Lord had given us to raise these children. 

We began filling our calendar with all sorts of activities. Many of which were “good” things. Leading worship at our church, serving in ministry, volunteering, etc. But all these things were taking us away from our first ministry. Our children. Whether intentional or not, we were neglecting our responsibility as parents to sow into our kids. 

Three years ago the Lord finally got our attention and started drawing us back home. Home to His heart and home to our children. Even still, we continued down this path of busyness while wrestling with this nagging feeling that this was not our promised land.

It wasn’t until we entered into a season of rest that we were able to start making transformative changes in our family culture. In this season, the Lord also started giving us the language and tools to help others make a similar change. We are humbled that you’re here and our stories are now colliding.
